SMALL, OUTBREAK IN PARLIAMENTARY BUILDINGS. A small outbreak of fire occurred) in the new portion of tho Parliamentary Buildings early on Saturday afternoon. A quantity of packing straw stored in a light area became ignitedand burned fiercely for a few minutes. The Fire Brigade was called out, and was on the spot quickly. The extent of the damage was slight. Two window! frames were burned and some walls were blackened. The new building is being constructed of noninflammable materials. The Fire Brigade received) a call at 1.35 p.m. on Saturday to a houso at 206 Willis Street, oboupied by Mrs. F. M. Hume. A fire had occurred in ono of the rooms, but it was extinguished quickly, and the damage was slight. The outbreak was statedl to have been caused by the dropping of a lighted cigarette.
