Christchurch, December 6. At Addington market to-day thero were large entries of fat cattle, sheep, and lambs, and fairly good yardings of store stock. There was a large attendance. In vieiv of the fact that some business was being done for export, fat ■ cattle ' sold well, as a new export firm was among the buyers. Pat lambs were easier than last week, about 928 being penned, and the two local freezing works were operating, paying prices averaging Bd. to BSd. per 11). ; over all, .and. although, prices, were not equal to those of last week there wa-s a : strong demand until towards tlio end ot .the' sale,' and exporters were giving-air average of- 6d. per lb. over all for both wethers and ewes.
