» KNOCKED DOWN BY I TRAMOAR. Mrs. Johnson, of 205 Willis Street, was knocked down by a tramcar at 9 p.m. on Saturday on Lambton Quay, and sustained injuries to her head, which are not thought to bo serious. SUICIDE ATA HOSPITAL. By Telezraph—Jfress Association. Hew-Plymouth, December 2. v Thomas Baker, a married man, a labourer, aged 31, committed suicide at the hospital last night. Ho belonged to Inglewood, awl had been an inmate of the hospital, with an incurable complaint, sinco August, 1915. RASH ACT TERMINATES FATALLY Dunedin, December 2. Horace Hodge, a labourer, 36 years of age, a single man, who cut bis throat last Sunday, died in the Hospital this morning. DEATH UNDER AN ANAESTHETIC. Dunedin, December 2. George Henry Allen, a married man, residing at Caversbam, died in a private hospital to-day, when being placed undor an anaesthctio for tho purpose of an operation.
