Owing to being delayed waiting for mails, she was two days late leaving San Francisco, and is expected to arrive hero on Saturday morning, WESTRALIA STAYS IN NEW ZEALAND. The Huddart-Parkcr Company advise that in view of tho unsettled conditions in Australia owing to the coal 6trike, the Wcstralia will not go to Australia this trip. She will arrive here on Saturday morning from Dunedin and Lyttelton, and will sail the same evening for Napior, Gisborne, and Auckland. On arrival at Auckland she will turn round aud come back to Wellington, via tho usual ports, and then goes on to Lyttclton and Dunedin. PORT HACKING LEAVES COLON. The C. and D. Line advise that they have had cable advice stating that the Port Hacking left Panama on Monday last in continuation of her voyage from New York. CHRISTMAS SHIPPING TIME-TABLE. In order to cope with the demands caused by Christmas and New Year traffic, the Union Company announces a number of changes in the running of its coastal steamers. These arrangements will eventually mean transposition of the running of the Monowai and the Tarawera. Dnnedin-Auckland. via Ports, Service. The Tarawera, on arrival at Dunedin from Auckland, via way ports, on Sunday, December 17, will be temporarily withdrawn to assist in the LyUellon-Welling-ton ferrv service. On Tuesday, December. 19. the Te Anau will leave here for Auckland, and will return in place of the Tarawera, taking cargo only. The Monowai, on arrival at Lyttelton from Auckland, via ports, on Wednesday, December 20. will return to Wellington the same day to assist in the Lyttelton-Wel-lington ferrv service. 6he will leave Wellington on "Saturday, December 23. and Lyttelton on Sunday, December 24, for Dunedin. The Tarawera will leave Lyttelton on Saturday, December 23, for Auckland, via way norts, in place of the Monowai.. She is duo at her destination on Thursday. December 28, and will leave again on December 30 for Dunedin, via ports, reaching hero on Thursday, January 4. She will sail again the same day, and will leavo Lvttelt"n on January 6. and Wellington on January 8 for Auckland, via way ports. As far as the Wcllington-Picton-lNc.con and the West Coast services arc concerned, tho Mapourika leaves Wellington on Monday December 18, at 7 p.m., for Nelson direct. She is expected to arrive back from the West Coast, via Nelson, on Friday December 22, and is tirae-tabled to leave again on December 23 at 5 p.m. for Picton and Nelson, leaving Nelson again on Sunday morning, December 24, for Wellington direct. She then leaves Wellington on Tuesday, December 26, for Kelson direct, and from Kelson will go on to the West Coast in her usual time-table The Patcena arrives here on December 16, and remains in port until Tuesday, December 19. She then sails on December 19 for Picton and Nelson, and will ogam sail for those two ports on Thursday. December 21. and on Saturday, December 23, she sails for Picton at noon, returning the same night and sailing for Nelson direct at 10 p.m. She arrives at Nelßou on Sunday morning and remains there until Tucfday, December 26, when she will sail in her usual time-table. 7 The Takapunn leaves here on Monday, December 18. There is a possibility that Captain H. M Chclhow wiU tako the Arrah-na-Posuo from Auckland to Australia.- . Mr. 11. K. Swain has joined the Kowhai as purser. , , ~ ~ Mr. Whitefield as second and Mr. Frame as third officers have joined a special scrvico ship. There is a possibility that, if the weather keeps fine, the Wakatu will make a special trip to Stonyhurst to-day, returning to-morrow and sailing to-morrow afternoon for Kaikoura and Lyttelton. The Kokiri, which arrived here last night, returns to Wc6tport on completion of discharge. The Komata left Wcstport at 1 p.m. yesterday after being barbound for several days, and is due this morning. She returns to Westporfc on completion of discharge. The Tarawera left Napier yesterday afternoon, and is due this morning with 360 tons of cargo from Auckland, Gisbome, and Napier. She leaves to-day at 5 p.m. for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Kahika loads coal this week end at Greymouth for Wellington and New Plymouth. On completion of discharge of the Wellington portion she will be avail-, able' for New Plymouth cargo. , The scow Eunice came off the Patent Slip at Lyttelton on Tuesday. She ships a cargo of material for the New Zealand Refrigerating Company's new at Wanganui. and should leave Lyttelton today for that port.
