Wedding at St. Peter's. A ([iiiofc wedding took place at St. Peter's Church yesterday morning, the ilev. Watson officiating. 'Die parties were Miss Ethel the eldest daughter of Mr. T. M'Nabb, of Collingwood, and Mr. Ernest Fair, third son of Mrs. J. AV. Fair, of "Westport. Tito bride wore white erepo do chine, with the orthodox _ wreath and veil. The bridesmaids, Miss M. M'Nabb and Miss E. J''air, wore white embroidered voiles, and little Joyce M'Nabh acted as ilower girl. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Charles Pair as best man, and Mr. Edward Norman as groomsman. A reception was after-, wards beld at the residence of tlio bridegroom's mother, at II Mount Strcot. An interesting feature of this wedding was the fact that the bridegroom, best man, and groomsman were returned soldiers. Godford Convalescent Gamp. The second meeting in connection with the patriotic concert to bo held in the Town Hall on December 16 will bo held to-night at the Y.M.C.A. Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., will preside. Donations received arc:—-Mrs. E. Pleas. ants, Era's Hotel, Taihapo, £3; Miss Gertio Greaves, West Street, Feilding, 10s. The Bristol Piano Co. have lent a piano for the continuous concert at the Basin Reserve, and the Brooklyn Serenaders and many talented amateurs will also assist Mrs. Raymond in making the concert a big success. Miss Kennedy's concert in aid of the Cliristmas Party Fund will be held in the Masonic Hall, Boulcott Street, on Saturday. A really excellent programme has been arranged for by Miss Kennedy's pupils. Mrs. Gardiner and Miss S. M'Lcan have returned to Wellington, and are' staying at Mrs. Pacer's. Mrs. Crawford, of AYanganui, is accompanying lier husband on a trip to "Wellington. Mrs. Coleridge and. Mrs. A. M. Myers uro in charge of the produce stall at the- foot of the Kelburn'tramway to-day. Mrs. Myers has consented to sell tickets for a handsome brown silk scarf which is to be raffled on December 15. The Hon. Joan Dickson-Poynder, daughter of Lord and Lady Islington, | is now engaged in nursing duties in Rouen, whero the experience she lias had in lier mother's hospital in Chesitcrficld Gardens will be very valuable. | The Camp Commandant at Trentham acknowledges with thanks receipt of the follnwinc sifts to tile Hospital :— From Miss Milliaan (Herotaunga), one box of flowers: Corporal P. The Returned Soldiers' Club stall, at i Boulcott Street .corner, will bo organised bv Mrs. Raymond.' and she will be assisted by Mrs. .T. Getliin-Huelies, Mrs. Pirani, Mrs. AVnlsh. Mrs. Richardson; and Mrs. Hill-Becket. Delicious cakes and sweets are to bo on sale bere, and many valuable raffles. Mrs. Luke (tlio Mayoress) opened tlio x Arcado Bar, in connection with the new Queen Picture Theatre in Cuba Street, yesterday afternoon. The management liavo devoted the proceeds of the afternoon—half to the, Returned Soldiers' Club Fund and half to the Trentham Dinner Fund. A sale of work will be opened at tlio Sailors' Institute by Mrs. M. A. Williams next Tuesday, at 3 p.m. There will also bo a motion picture show, for which 6d. admission will be charged. Admission to the sale of work will bo free, and it will also bo open on Thursday. ' ,
