LECTURE BY SIR ERNEST SHACKLETON
Sir Erifost Shacldeton is arriving in Wellington by the Moana on Saturday; andjins consented to give a lecture on his "Experiences in Antarctica," in aid of the Heturiied Soldiers' Fund. The lecture will ho delivered in the Town Hail on Monday next, and will ho fully illustrated by lantern views, under the supervision of Mr. A. "Whiteiaw. The renown'ed'explorer's visit to tho Dominion is of very special interest". The story of his past and present work, his determined and successful efforts to rescue his comrades and the purpose of his present visit are familiar To «H. TTiss will be the only opportunity the public will have of hearing him in Wellington. The merit of the lecturer aud.the worthy object in view should ensure a -large attendance. Tickets may be obtained at the Bristol, where the plan opens on Saturday; at the Returned Soldiers' Club, and from any member of Iffircomiiitttee.
