ALLEN STREET ESTATE, EAST- •••'••' ■' ' BOURNE. There was a largo attendance yesterday afternoon at Messrs. Harcourt and Co.'s Auction Rooms, when they offered for sale the above estate. Before submitting tho property, tho auctioneer, Mr. S. Harcourt, referred to the great advance in settlement that had taken place in this seaside borough during tho past few years, and the splendid class of .building now being' erected. Tho first section submitted was No. 28, with a total area of 3 acres 2 roods 2U.5 perches, together with tho four-roomed cbttago thereon. Tho buyer of this section had the option of takiilg tho adjoining Section 38, containing 2G acres 3 roods 2fi porches, with a 3-roomed cottage and stable, at the samo price. After somo spirited bidding these wero sold to Mr. ,T. Orchiston for tho sum of .£'llo each. Section 29 was next offered, and was sold for MO. Section 19, with a frontage to the County Road and the Esplanade, was sold for .2105, and the adjoining section, No. -20, was knocked down for iEIIO. After some spirited bidding these were sold to Mr. A.-Campbell, as agent, at 10s. per. foot, Mr. Campbell taking both sections. The Auctioneer than submitted Sections 14 and 18 D.P.-201, having! a fron-. tage to tho County Road and the beach, also Section 83, Tuatoru Road, but both lots were passed in, and are now for private sale at .£175 and .£IOO respectively. No. 8 Bute Street, City, was then submitted, but did not Teach the reservo of .£320, at which jwicc the auctioneers will now sell. Tho total sale for tho day reached ,£1727 15s,
