Thomas Moody, a tram conductor, for whom Mr. O'Regan appeared, was found guilty of tho theft of 20 tram tickets of the value of 205., the property of the Wellington City Tramways, and lined 405., default being fixed at 14 days' imprisonment, and Moody was ordered to refund 135., the amount received by him by the sale of the tickets. Kathleen Van ■ Cant pleaded not guilty to' a charge of being a rogue and a vagabond in that she habitually consorted with reputed prostitutes, and had been previously convicted as an idle and disorderly, person. , After, hearing tho evidence of three constables, who gave the accused a bad character, the Magistrate convicted accused, and sentenced her to 21 days' imprisonment. William Cameron, for whom Mr. H. F.' O'Leary appeared, was charged with' boing the putative father of an unborn child, and was remanded to Friday on bail. RESERVED JUDGMENT. Reserved judgment was 'given in the. action brought by Edmund Hill Jas-: pers against Cecil 11. Parsons to recover £50 damages for assault, which was alleged to have occurred at Eketahuna. the sum of £2 Bs. Bd. by instalments of ss. a week, in default to undergo seven days' imprisonment. JUVENILE COURT. A lad charged with boarding a train at Nghauranga whilst the same was in motion was convicted and fined os. _ Three boys were convicted of throwing stones in Scarborough Terrace, and were cautioned and discharged. ALLEGED THEFT OF SHEEP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Marton, November 21. At the Marton Court to-day, Rudqlph E. Kreegher was committed for trial at the Supreme Court sessions at Palmorston North for alleged theft of 86 Romney owes in lamb, valued at £163 Bs., the property of the trustees of the Wostoe Estate. Bail was allowed 1 , self in £100 and two sureties of £100 each. A charge against Charles E. Kreegher was adjourned to November 29.
