Mellsop, Eliott- and Co., Palmerston North, local agents) report on- the frozen meat market, under date London September 29, as- follows:— . Home-grown meat has been marketed in 6uch large quantities as to interfere with £he trade in frozen. Good Scotch ewes at /ld.-7sd. naturally get preference over New Zealand at 8d„ and Scotch lambs at 9jd.-lld. compared with 9ld. Even so, however, no difficulty is being experienced in finding purchasers for the Government lambs (although they may not have gone into consumptiou yet), as the releases have been on a moderate % scale.
