AVELLINGTON'S DONATION ACKNOWLEDGED.

Mr. R. AA 7 . Shallcrass, hon. socretary of the Wellington Branch of the Navy League, has received the following letter from Mr. P. J. Hannon, General Secretary of the Navy League in London :— "My first official communication to you is the pleasant one of conveying an acknowledgment of the receipt of a ramittance of £5000. which has been through the High Commissioner from your branch of tho Navy League to the Dependants Fund administrated by this organisation.
