CRICKET ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association was held last night, Mr. M. J. Crorabie presiding. It was decided that all matches be postponed on December 2, the day on which the Returned Soldiers' Association are holding a sports meeting on the Basin Reserve as part of their appeal for fuuds for the carrying on of their club. It was resolved also that' in future a bell shall be rung at the Basin Reservo at 2 p.m. as a signal that all practice must cease. 'At 2.15 another boll will be rung for the commencement of the matches, and penalties may be imposed on teams not ready to take the field. The following is the draw for senior matches on December 9 and December 16:—Hutt v. North, at Hutt; PetonO v. "University, at Petone; East v. Trentham, No. 1 Basin Reserve; Old Boys v. Institute, No. 2 Basin Reserve. Junior (December 9 and December 16):—North v. Base Records (No. 3 Basin); Trentham v. University (No. 4 -Basin); Wellington College v. Marist Bros.' Old Boys (College); Old Boys v. Hutt (Hutt).Third Class. —November 25: Wellington College A v. Scots College (College Ground); St. Patrick's College v. Institute (Kelburn); College B v. Trentham (College Ground). December 9. —Trentham v. St. Patrick's College (Kelburn); Wellington College A v. Institute (College Ground); Scots College' v. .Wellington College B (College Ground). ' V December 16. —Institute v. Trentham (Kelburn);' Scots College v. St. Patrick's College (College Ground); Wellington Collego A v. Wellington College B (College Ground).
