A very popular and successful function was the dance in tho Goring Street Hall given last Saturday as a benefit for Miss Borlase by the chaperoncs and' committee of her monthly assemblies. Over a hundred young people 'were present, amongst whom ivero many soldiers. Tho hall was gay with bunting and festoons of lycopodium. The Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union will hold their annual conference from November 22 to 27, in St.. John's men's classroom.
