THE ZEPPELIN'S SLAYER
. : 9 : Lieut. W. L. Robinson, V.C., Army Airman, attacked and sent down a Zeppelin cat Cuffley on September 3 last:— Schooled at the rosc-rcd headland of St. Bees, . He watched each' day the white seapeople swing Home to their rest there, 'fold deliberate wing, Or, poised with unimaginable ease, Swoop down thro' sunlight to tho silver .! 'seas, Thenco up the cliff thoir dancing shadows bring; And his boy-heart yearned thus thro' air to 'spring, Ho dreamed of Icarus and the Cyclades. War gave him wings, and when to London Town Tho fierce Hun dragon-monster dared to fly, Ho sprang to battle; airmen held their breath While up thro' search-lit heaven and sliell-sn'ept sky Ho sought thn stars, then dashed terrific ttywn . .
