PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. , A very successful evening was given j by the French Club last night, the main fsaturo being the presentation of prizes won dnring tho season. Captain Barclay welcomed the guests,' and an address was given by Sir RobertStout, Chief Justice. Captain Barclay presented the. following with prizes:—Gold medal, Miss Phyllis Mather; silver medal, Neville Whitc- 4 man; special mention, Miss Winifred Caroline Griffiths. The following received certificates: —Senior boys, Alex. Scholes and Bertram Mitford.' Senior girls, Misses Eileen Helen Atkinson, Thelma Lopas Barr, Maude Josephine Browne, Florence Mary Churchill, Florence Deck, Dorothy Helen Fealouby, Kathleen May Grant, Ida Vera Jacka, Edith Mary Terwill, "Winifred Morrison O'Connor, Helen Dora Powley, Katherine-Pownall, Jessie Edith Sliorland, Eve Stockman. Junior boy, J. L. Stewart. Junior girls, Misses Mollie Fisher, Hazel Frances Jeffrey, and Isabella Rae Jones. -
Tho evening's entertainment was contributed to the following:—Mr. Poster, Miss Winifred O'Connor, Miss Van Stavern, Miss E. Atkinson, Miss Henry, Miss Stephens, and Master Neville "Whitcman. A .pretty little sketeli was given by Miss Weade, Mr. Whetton, and Mr. Cook. A French play entitled "La Lettie Cachetee," was acted by Misses Allan and M'Diarmid and Messrs. Baldwin and Foster, and the entertainment closed with tho •si.-iging of the "Marseillaise."
