In the House of Commons, Mr. Hope, in answering Mr. Ashley, said that the number of German prisoners in our hands, according to incomplete .returns, were:— Army-7-833 officers, 42,083 luen. Navy.—-132 officers, 1982 men. Tho British prisoners' in German hands,'including colonials and Indianß, wero:— N Army.—Officers, 1027; men, 28.737. Navy.—Officers and men, including tho Naval Division, 3101.
