ANOTHER " MUGGY " DAY
Another "muggy" day of the;semi-sub-tropical variety was experienced in the city and district yes- . terday. A few drops of rain fell at. intervals, but not enough to justify overcoats or umbrellas. Thunderylooking clouds liung heavily in blueblack masses here and there, and gradually disintegrated themselves without fulfilling their menace. Rain fell in outside districts, and the glass has continued to fall: Strong squally nor'-westers are predicted, with grev skies, and the probability of a general downpour. The conditions .are. favourable to cleotrfca.l disturbances m many parts of the Dominion. '
HEAVY THUNDERSTORM AND CLOUDBURST. Br Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, November 15. Following excessive heat, Clyde and the Cromwell Gorge were visited last evening by another disastrous thuiidcrstorin and cloudburst, being the third this year. The railway and mam road were seriously ' damaged, =?d traffic disorganised. It is believed that on' this occasion tlio damage to orchards and private property has not been heavy..
