'An enjoyable concert was given by Mr. R. H. Bennett) at the Sailors' Friend Society last niglit. The items were received with much favour by the men, as tho encores showed. " Mr. Moorcj missioner, was in tho chair. Ho spoke on "Tumblers," urging men to abstain for country's find homo's sake. The performers at the concert wero the Misses Nicholas (2), S'auuderson, Pickett (3). and Evans, and Messrs. Haigh, Whiteman, R. H. Bennett, Higgins, and Sullivan.
