PAUL DUFAULT
TWO ADDITIONAL CONCERTS TO BB GIVEN. The second concert of Mr. Paul Du- : fault's return season in the Grand Opera Ilouse last evening was as enjoyable as • the first had been. The programme was a new one, and included several songs that had not been heard before in Wel- , lington. Among these were "Ecstasy" (Beach), "Requiem" (Sidney Homer), 1 "The Trois • Prieres" (Paladellie), and 1 "Ai(me Moi" (Bemberg). Mr. Dufault i sang brilliantly, and, above all, syni- ' pathetically.' As usual, he added materially to the charm of his songs by his i gifts of personality. His encores inclnd- : ed several "request" numbers, which I hmight have been extended, in number . almost indefinitely. Mr. Dufault was | supported by Miss Florence Scapini, who j played several violin numbers delight- ! fully, and by Miss Pauline Bindley, , whose pleasant and well-trained voice was heard, to advantage in several solos, " as well as in a duet with the tenor. The '' audience included His Excellency the I Governor and the Countess of- Liverb pool. 1 Mr. Dufault will" give.'his third concert - to-morrow evening. ..He has arranged to 1 give two additional concerts in the Town - Hall on Friday and Saturday evenings. i —
