MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. L. G. Reid, S.M., hold a short sitting of fhe Magistrate's Court yesterday, when the following cases were dealt with:— Thomas Reeves and Peter Patterson were each fined 10s., in default three days' imprisonment, for insobriety. Charles Roacli and James Farrell, seamen, were charged with insobriety and having committed indecent acts in Customhouse Quay. .Each, of the accused was convicted and ordered to be placed on board his ship. CIVIL BUSINESS.; Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., gave judgment by default in the following cases: Einpiro Oil Company v. E. Biggs, £3 9s. 2d.,; costs 10s.; samo v. Edward Gibbs, £20 6s. 8d.,. costs £2 14s. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Judgment summonses were granted as under:—John Bailey was ordered to pay Denis Michaol Ryan the sum of £4 35., on or before November 23, in default three days' imprisonment; William Poddy was ordered to pay Carlylo Beatson Robertson and S. J. Shoro tlio sum of £3 los. (amount of conduct money), on or before November 23, in default threo days' imprisonment.
