Mr. Durack complains that Mr. Holman has for a considerable time been fishing to bring about a coalition, with' the object of defeating the Labour Party. That party objected to a coalition at any time, because it involved! the sinking of its principle. The Pre--, niier had no majority, or if he had l a; majority it was because of an under-; standing with the Opposition. He had' no right to carry on for five minutes without a majority. The Labour party refused to support a Government which took up the attitude adopted by Mr. Holnian .on the Referendum. Mr. Durack also charged the Government with an attempt to gerrymander the coming elections by shifting large bodies of workmen from different parts of the State.

Prepared to Join a Broader Movement. Mr. Holman, in replying, strongly sented the dictation of the Political Labour League. He 6aid Mr. Durack and his party were assisting to tear up the charter of their political liberties by accepting the domination of a group of political novices composing the Political Labour League. After twenty years' faithful service to Labour he (the speaker)" had heon expelled from the movement. He was now prepared to throw in his lot in a new, broader, and'national movement.
