THE MARAMA
READY FOR SECOND COMMISSION. The hospital shin Marama, which js at present lying at Queen's Wharf, is ready for her second commission, and will leave New Zealand waters at an early date. The vessel lias been thoroughly overhauled at Port Chalmers, and is again in first-class order. General Henderson, Director of Medical Services, visited the Marama. yesterday and'told a Dominion reporter subsequently that he was thoroughly satisfied with the condition of the ship. Some improvements had_ been effected in consequence of experience acquired during the previous commission, and theship was rcallv better fitted for ber purpose than she bad been when first eli» left New Zealand. '. The medical staff and orderlies, who have been in training at Awapnni Camp, are now aboard the Marama.
