ENFORCE COMPULSION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, November 6V At a meeting of the Timaru Recruiting Committee this evening the following motion was proposed by Mr. J. Craigie, M.P., and carried with one dissentient:—"That while this committee expressed its willingness to do anything in its power to assist the voluntary system, it would respectfully urge the Government to expedite matters, and enforce compulsory defence without delay, as it considers that compulsion is the only sure method of keeping up our Expeditionary Forces for the defence of the Empire."
