WELLINGTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
MONTHLY MEETING.
Messrs. Jas. Macintosh (chairman), W. G. Duthie, Thos. Ballingcr, F. W. Cuthbertson, C. E. Richardson, F. AY. Mantoil, T. Dawson, and AV. Bridson wore present at a meeting of the council of tho Wellington Chamber of Commercoheld yesterday afternoon. Copies of the draft rules of the proposed voluntary tribunals of arbitration for the settling of disputes between business men or firms, which are to bo submitted to tho coneronco of Chambers this month wore tabled. In the meantinio they aro to bo considered by the Wellington Chamber's delegates. The secretary (Mr. H. D. Vickery) explained that it mcroly provided machinery for tho settlement of disputes between business firms through the medium of Chambers of Commerce.
A letter was received from the Wellington' branch of tho Red Cross Society conveying thanks for tho.use of tho chamber in connection with tho "Our Day" effort.
■ It was decided that ;tho Wellington chamber should entertain tho delegates to the conference at a dinner to bo held on tho evening of November 22. The arrangements, wore left in the hands of
the president and secretary. . \- Tho president (Mr. Jas. Macintosh), vice-nresidont (Mr. IT. W. Manton), and Mr. J. G. Harkness were appointed delegates to represent the Chamber at the conferonco of Chambers to bo held this month.
