Mr. L. G. Reid, S.M., has given his reserved judgment in the caso in which Michael Johji Ford was charged with keeping liquor for salo in a No-Licenso area, and three men wero charged with being on tho premises whero tho liquor was found. Ford was fined £10 and costs; in default one month's imprisonment, and the others wero each fined £1 and costs. Mr. L. Hewitt, S.M., has dimsiesed tho charge brought against a taxidriver of having delivered liquor at a place in the No-License district of Masterton without tbo package , being labelled. Three members of tho Red Cross Brigado -visited tho Waingawa freezing works on Friday, and collected a sum of £8 10s. 9d. Tho census returns show tho population of Masterton Borough to be 5896, against 5152 in 1911. Within a twomile radius of Masterton Post Office tho-population is now over 7000.
