There is considerable hostile shelling at Hebuterne, and also around the Stuff and Schwaben Redoubts, and the Regina trench." FRENCH OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE. . Paris, October 31. A Frenoh official communique states"Except for lively artillery work at Douaumont and Van:; Ihero is liotMng important to report." GERMAN OFFICIAL COMMUNIQUE.* London, October 31. A German official communique states: —"AVe drove back the enemy northeast and cast of Lesbooufs. Frenoh attacks at La Maisonette and oil our new trenches south of Biachcs and Ablaincourt, and on both sides of tho Chaulne-s-Lihons road, all failed." BOASTED INVULNERABILITY OF THE GERMAN FRONT. (Rcc. November 1, 11.45 p.m.) London, November 1. The German Press asserts that the Somnie crisis is over, and the German front is now invulnerable. Tho Anglo-French fgrccs, they say, are no longer superior in guns and munitions.
