' Sister Brandon, who relinquished the position of matron of the Rotorua Sanatorium on appointment to the staff of the hospital ship Marama, was entertained at a "social" in the recreation hall of the sanatorium last week. Colonel Stuart Newall, C.8., on behalf of the soldiers in- the sanatorium, presented her with a manicuTe sot m a leather case, bearing a 6ilvcr plate suitably insoribed. When Sister.Brandon left for Wellington a large number of returned soldiers assembled at the railway station, and gave hearty cheers as' the train departed.
