At the Mooneo Valley races, tho Moonee Valley Cup (500 sovs.) was won by Lucky Escape, 800 running second in a field of twenty starters. Won by half" a head. Time, 2min. sjjsec, a record for the course (one mile and a quarter). The Steeplechase, of 100 sovs., about two miles, was won by New York, Moondara and Mowable running second and third. Nino started. Won by two lengths. Time, 4min. 27-i.sec. Tho AVelter Handicap, of 200 sovs., six furlongs, was won by Zuland, with Lavendo and Kilchowan second and third respectively. Twenty started. Won hv half a neck. Time, lmin. 255 sec. v
