—4 — MONTHLY MEETING. . Tho Hon. J. G. W. Aitkcn (chairman), Messrs. A. Warburton, Williau Allan, J. P. Luke, W. F. Ward, am .Professor Easterfield wore present a 1 tho monthly meeting of the College Governors yesterday. The secretary (Mr. C. P. Powles) was reported to be still unable to attenc to his duties owing to ill-health, and s motion of sympathy was passed witl; the board's old aud nruch-esteemeci secretary, the hope being expressed that he would soon regain his.health, Tho balances in hand, as shown by tho financial statement, amounted tc £3013 7s. Id.- The payments required ■were:—Wellington College, £687 16s. 9d.; Girls' College, £458 14s. Id. The fees outstanding were;—Wellington College, £1632 45.; Girls' College, ■£2426 19s. 4d. Tho rents outstanding wofo £3G6 165.. Bd. The amount .on fixed deposit' was £1000.
