NINETEENTH REINFORCEMENTS. The Nineteenth. Infantry Reinforcement a wero to spend last night in outpost position between Mangaroa and WallacevUle township, and engago in jnaaoeuvres \vi]l torminato in an attack at dawn. The defenders will occupy' position on tho ridge aboyo tho Mangaroa railway tunnel. After breakfasting in. the field, tho inarch of the troops from Featlierston to Trentham will then bo continued. Headed by the Trentham Camp Bandj which will meet them at Upper Hutt, tho Nineteenths will enter frentham about noon today.
On Thursday night the draft, after I crossing the Rimutaka ,Hill, wore in comfortable bivouao at Kaitoke. The weather cleared before-dark and tho night was fine.. An early start vas made yesterday morning, and tho column reached TJppor Hutt shortly alter ten o'clock. Tie A.S.C. and the *dvanco party iiad already established themselvos in Maidstone Park and wero preparing the mid-day meal. The trair«, carrying the Twonty~first Infantry Reinforcements to Featherston steamed past whilo tho Nineteenths wore at lunch, and tho two Reinforcements cheered one another heatily. During' the march over the Hill only two men fell out; they wero both meii who had not long returned from sick leave. .The little cobbler..of Featherston, accompanied the Nineteenths on their march, and will carry his flag alongside tho band when thoy movo on to Trentham this morning.
