22nd REINFORCEMENTS
SHORTAGE. REDUCED j MANY ADDITIONAL MEN STILL NEEDED Supplementary drafts for tlio 22nd Reinforcoments went into camp yesterday, but they fell very far short or covering tlio deficiency of 973 men reported last week. The detailed figures woro not available last night. Group 5 (Wellington City and Suburbs), with a shortage of 57 to cover, sent 31 mon into camp during tlio day. This was a pood offort, but most of the other districts failed to do as well. All the districts had been asked to send additional men for the 22nd Reinforcements into camp on Wednesday next. Tlio men who went into camp from Group 5 yesterday included the following:—J. Wilson, J.. Davis, J. R. Davis, A. G. 'Jones, F. W. D. Aitclnson, C. H. Hedderwick, «T. M : T)ona Id. G. WHocker, J. Walker, J. l'hillips, W. P. Holtzj E. Holtn, A. Holtz, T. O'Rourke, 1\ J. Wilson, L. A. Hindle, J. F. Wui son, and A. It. Miller.
