HEAVY GERMAN ATTACK IN THE DOBRUDJA
RUSSIANS RETIRE THEIR CENTRE AND RIGHT ENEMY REPULSED ON OTHER SECTORS. (Keuter'fl Telegram.) London, October 22. A Russian official communique states: "On the Brostens sector we drove back the enemy towards the frontier. Fighting, continues in.the Trotus valley. The enemy was repulsed in the Uzula Valley with heavy losses. Our troops wore compelled to retire on the Bugen Valley. A violent enemy attack on the whole of the Dobrudja front forced us to withdraw our centre and right."

London, October 22. A Rumanian official communique states:_ "The position is unchanged at Tolgyes and Bigaz. We repulsed the enemy in the Trotus valley, and also in the Bozehi, Gituz, ana Slsnco valleys. There is a heavy bomnardment at Predeal. We repulsed two attacks at Dragoslavele. Tempestuous weather is interfering with our retirement before violent attacks in the Dobrudja."'

• Amsterdam, October 22. A Gorman official communique states: "We again defeated the Russians between Sivistelinki and Komeroohynine, and defeated tho Rumanians at many poiuts. We drove out the Russo-Rumanians fromthe whole front in the Dobrudja, and captured positions at Topraisar, Cobadini, and Cerna."
