APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS
The following appointments, promotions, and resignations in the Territorial Force are announced: — 9th (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles.—Lieutenant Henry Beresford is struck off the strength of the Expeditionary Force and absorbed into the establishment, with the rauk of 2nd lieutenaat. _ . ' sth (Wellington) Regiment.—Corporal H. S. M'Dougall is promoted to be 2nd' lieutenant supernumerary to establishment. Motor Service Corps. The appointment of the following 2nd? lieutenants on probation is confirmed: — B. H. Andrew, Q F. Bennett, J. 51. Caughey, E. R. Davis, C. G. Dawson, A. F. Ellis, J. W. Jack, H. C. Stoddaxt, and G. L. Taylor. N.Z. Medical Corps. Captain J. P. D. Leahy is granted' the temporary rank of major. Captain K. E. Tapper is struck off the strength of the Expeditionary Force and absorbed. Lieutenant Stuart Scoular, to be captain while employed with the Expeditionary Force. Veterinary Corps. . . Lieuetnant-Colonel A. R. Young is struck off the strength of the Expeditionary Force and absorbed. Unattached List (B). ■ Captain Thomas Carr,"V.D., previously announced to have resigneu, is posted to the Retired List, and granted the honorary rank of imajor. 2nd Lieuetnant P. Te Rau Ngakau Lewis, to be lieutenant. Sergeant-Major Frederick J. Macintosh is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant while employed a 6 ofßcer-in-oharge of camp records, Featherston-
