HOME OF COMPASSION
Last Saturday a large • number of willing workers' attended tlie Home of Compassion fo rthe -purpose of clearing the grounds of gorse, which is seriiiyusly threatening to reduce the grazing space of the lionic's lierd, the principal source of sustenance of .the largo number of baby inmates domiciled in tlio home. A fair-sized patch was cleared and burned by a number of boys,, who were delighted with this park of the proceedings. Much more still has to be done, so that next Saturday afternoon those wlio liavo not had a cliance to assist can do so. It is hoped that tlio men of "Wellington will come-to the .aid of the Sisters,. I who appreciate very ' ngieh what, has I already been done.
