A LOCAL BODIES' PROBLEM. It was reported) to tbo City Council last evening that tlio City • Solicitor had forwardod a deed of indemnity to Mr. P.. J. Nathan, indemnifying him against all actions in connection with tho Hutt Pipe Bridge, and releasing him from payment of all claims upon payment by him of tho sum of £1100, being tho balance of £1600, and to, tako action on his behalf as well as on behalf of tho corporation against the Lower Hutt Borough Council, to' ascertain the rights of the parties and to i mandamus, the Lower Hutt Borough Council to execute the necessary transfer of tho land on which the street connecting the TYaiwetn Bridge and tho Lowry Bay Road is constructed.
