Following yesterday's discussion in the House, of Lords on the activities of Us3,tho United States Government at Washington announces that stringent have been taken to prevent the transmission of unneutral information to German submarines appearing at American ports. _ Civilians will probably be not permitted to visit such submarines, owing to the growing belief that civilians boarding TJS3 ,haye revealed details of the presence of merchantmen in the vicinity of Nantucket. Theoffieials of the Administration believe that there will not be any complications with England over America's attitude to the submarines, as the regulations to prevent Germans using American ports to secure information will seriously hamper submarine coastal operations against the Allies' shipping. THE GERMAN TRANS-ATLANTIC SUBMARINES REPORTED CAPTURE OF TWO OF THE BREMEN'S. (Rec. October 19, 8.30 p.m.) New York, October 18. The "New York World" says that the first German trans-Atlantic submarine Bremen was captured in the Straits of Dover, when the submarine was following in the wake of a vessel. Sho became so entanged that it took two days to release her from the net. Five of the crew .were dead] and'the remainder exhausted. Valuable documents and mails were captured. Tho British also captured a second Bremen. Tho third is en route to AmericaTHE LUSITANIA CRIME HUNS' LAST NOTE TO AMERICA UNACCEPTABLE. New York, October 18. The State Department has announced that the last German memorandum in connection with the sinking of the Lusitania, reiterating the contention that .the torpedoing of the vessel was justifiable, has not been'accepted.
