Russell, in a speech! at the opening of the Red Cross Rooms, said that his son had stated in a letter that among a number of German prisoners carried by tho Marams. from France to England was a New Zealander, trained in one of our best-known' collegiate institutions. Mr. Russell uttered a warning to the public against giving credence' to German inspired news, such as tho coloured statements appearing in the cabled news from Home.
