SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
An extremely popular concert was given at tho Sailors' Friend Society last night before a' large audienco by the Misses Boyd and Fulton. The Missioner (Mr. Moore), who presided, gave a short temperance address. Hospitality was kindly handed, round, ari3 the boys of the Amokura were given a send-off prior to their annual southern cruise. At the close of a delightful evening a warm vote of thanks was tendered the performers, who were as follow:—Mrs. Alexander, 'Misses- Tomlin, Ersman, Armstrong, Phillips, Nicholas, Cunningham, and Alexander, Messrs. Cogdale and M'Quiston. Miss Jensen was pianist. The chief officcr-of the Amokura (Mr,. Barnsdale) spoke a few words of .thanks to'those who had entertained the boys, and threo hearty cheers were given by the lads.
