« 35. ON BOARD THE PALOONA'. Br Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, October 11': . The Paloona. which arrived to-day, brought 35 soldiers back, most of them men who have seen, service in Egypt. only; hut some had been on Gallipoli, and two with the Mesopofcami&n expedition. There-are only two cot cases, and! most of the men showed little outward trace of their experiences. The cot casea are Driver Brown, of Wcftport, who is badly wounded in the jleg, and was mentioned in dispatches, and Pte. T. B. "Wallace, of Wellington. Sappers Middleton and Loveridge, who were attached as wireless operators to then Divisional Headquarters Indian Expeditionary Force in Mesopotamia, broke down as a result of the climate. One of them stated that out of his section of 61 only 29 are lit for duty. The men were accorded a reception this afternoon. The northern soldiers leave by the T?alooria .".to-morrow."/. •'
