The mine manager reports, under date October 6:—Stop in k has been in hand over the No. 3.level, Golconda reef, during tha past ivoek, and somo strong uoldbearinß quartz, came -to hand.- 'In the Wynyardton workings, on. the' No.' g_ioco, the reef appears broken, but gold was seen in tho quartz broken. In the stopo off the rise a' little picked stono was obtained. -In the intermediate level, jvitli o, strong reef in good country now showing, tho chances aro most favourable.
