AUSTRIANS ABANDONING POSITIONS Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. (Rec. October 10, 5.40 p.m.) Rome, October 9. An Italian official communique states. —"We repulsed a violent attack on the Busaalta Peak, the enemy being driven down the precipices with very heavy losses. The Austrians are withdrawing from Monto Costa Bella, and the IJanpellegrino Valley, and have burnt large stores of provisions and material."
