ORGAN RECITAL.
The customary devoted few woro present at the organ recital given by Mr. Bernard F. Page (city organist) on 'Saturday evening, and wero edified by a particularly choico programme of highclass music. This included tho Concerto in D Minor of W. F. Bach (son of John Sobastian Bach, and ono of the greatest externporisers on tho organ the world has known).. Tho Concerto is an interesting composition, but lacks tho inspirational "atmosphere" of tho great Bach's musip. That modern gonius of tho Belgians, Cesar Franck, was represented by his Prelude, Fugue, and Variation, a work which shows to tlio finest advantage his peerless musicianship and resource. Wagner's "Siegfried" idyll, tho second "Rhapsody" of Saint-Saens, tiiroo "Norwegian Melodies" by Grieg, and the "Eu Bateau" of Debussy's (from a 6uito for strings) lont variety and charm to the programme.
