FIRE AT TRENTHAM

DRYING-ROOM IN FLAMES. There was ail outbreak of fire in ono of tile drying-rooms at Trenthani oil Thursday niglit. Since the wot weather began tho drying-rooms have been going at high pressuro to meet the demands made upon them. The drvingroom in question, which is situated at the railway end of the camp, was well filled with clothes, and some of these bad evidently been placed too close to ono of the heating-pipes. The result, was that tlio clothes caught lire, and tho place was quickly filled with .smoke. The orderly on duty at once called up the Camp Fire Brigade, which is manned by the camp police. The cause of the outbreak was quickly located, and tho. fire extinguished before- any material damagn had been done to tho building or its contents.
