TENNIS ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of tho council of the Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Association was held last niglit. Mr. A. G. Henderson was in the chair. Tho report and balance-sheet were adopted. Threo amendments concerning the Public Schools' Association were moved by tho secretary and carricd. They were I (1) That in Rule 5, clauses b and o be re-lettered c and <1, and the following now clause (b) be inserted: "or must bo a public schools' association composed of public school clubs, whose playing grounds are situated within geographical limits to be approved of, determined, or altered by tho Management Committee from time to time." (2) That the following words be added to clause 5, rule 7: "Provided that a public schools' association shall be exempt from the payment of an annual subscription to the association"; and (3) that to the second part of rule 11 the following words be added: ' 'Each sub-association, being a public schools' association, shall be entitled to two delegates and two votes." A vote of sympathy to tho-relatives of those that have" fallen in the war was carried unanimously.

The Auckland Harbour Board has received notification that its pilots will not he called up for. military service.— Press Association. Her Excellency the Countess of Liverpool has consented to open the aunual sale of work of the parish of St.' Mark at the schoolrom on Wednesday afternoon next.
