Waters, till recently tlio lion, secretary of Tlio Ladies' Committeo of tho Navy League for tlio Sailors' Dependants' Fund lias received the following letter froiii the. general secretary ol' the Navy League, 13 Victoria Street, London-"Tho Navy League Belief liund Committee, which is charged with the distribution of funds collected oversea for the benefit of tho dependants of naval officers and seamen who have lost their lives in action during the present war, has received with tho warmest _ gratification tho account of tlio patriotic work which you have so successfully carried out at Wellington in the collection of money for this fund. Tho' committee desires me to convey to you a sincere expression of their gratitude for your devoted services to widows and orphans of tho gallant men in our Fleet who have laid down their lives, and we all most deeply appreciato tlie zeal and enthusiasm which you have put into the work of local organisation. Will you bo so good as to express to tho ladies of >our combined committee tho 1 very warm thanks of tlio Navy League and °f. *ho Navy League Relief Fund Committee, for their patriotic support."
