(3) To promote fairness, justice, and common sense, in dealing with tho problem of intemperance. (4) To investigate methods for tho further reduction of drunkenness. (5) To assist where expedient existing agencies for reforming drunkards. (6) To promote inquiry into the physiological effects of the component parts of alcoholic beverages. (7) To ascertain what is being, done for the promotion of temperance in other countries. (8) To. assist all efforts for securing tho wholesomencss of beverages.
