BONUS TO BENEFICIARIES. In the Budget delivered by the Minister of Finance last session ho proposed to givo beneficiaries in : tho Public Trust Office a bonus out of the office 'profits,' andlin Section 61 of the Firianco Act, 1916, Parliament gape, the necessary authority. An Order-in-Council has just been made providing that out of the net profits' for the'last financial year, namely, £46,108 12s. Ud., th<y sum of £25,000 shall be distributed as a bonus. It will be paid to each estate and account receiving interest from tho Common Fund during the last financial year, and not finally closed, and distributed beforo the end of that year, investment agencies being excluded. Tho bonus will amount to 2s. in the £ on the interest received.
