RAILWAY OFFICERS IN CONFERENCE
POSITION OP TECHNICAL OFFICERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, September 10. At the Railway Officers' Conference the disability under which certain technical officers are labouring was considered, and it was decided to approach tho Department with a view to definitely ascertaining the value of certain positions. A motion was unanimously carried that the pay and allowances of married men joining the Expeditionary Forces should be increased to enable them to make better provision for their dependants..
