TELEGRAPH REVENUE
9 — FIGURES FOR JULY. Tho Postmaster-General has furnished tho following information regarding telegraph business for July, 1916, and for purposes of comparison for the corresponding month of 1915 :— In July last the number of ordinary telegrams sent in tho whole of the Dominion was 445,137 against 524,571 in July, 1915, a decrease of 79,434. On account of tho increase ia charges, however, there was an inorease in revenue from ordinary telegrams of £281. The number of bureau messages increased from 329,255 to, 332,546,, and tho revenue therefrom by £228. The number of Press messages decreased from 39,670 to 25,893, while tho revenue therefrom increased by £9n. . , Tho net telegraph revenue in July of this year was £30,951, an increase of £610 over the same month of last year. - •
