TECHNICAL EDUCATION BOARD
4 LAST NIGHT'S MEETING. A meeting of the Technical Education Board was held last evening. ProBent: Mr. G. Frost (chairman), the Hon. J. G. W. Aitken, Messrs. W. Allan, L. R. Partridge, T. Ballinger, W. J. Thompson; W.-H. Bennett, and H.' M. Gore. The statement of accounts showed a' debit balance of £607 14s. Id., as against £389 lis. Id. on the corresponding dato of tho preceding your. A letter was read from the TMucation Department, suggesting that toachors should bo asked to assist the Dofenco Department whore possible in the enrolment of tho Expeditionary Forces Reserve. ' . Mr. Aitken said that all omployees of tlio board of military ago should be required to produce certificates of enrolment before the expiry of tho period allowed. The Director should be asked to send circulars to teachers, asking them to co-operate witli tho officials engaged in the work of enrolment. Motions on tho linos suggested by Mr. Aitken,wore carried.
