YACHTSMEN WANTED
RECRUITS FOR MOTOR PATROL WOBJL Amateur yachtsmen who want to join the Royal Naval, Volunteer Reservo and serve on patrol boats in the waters where mines and submarines do congregate aro to have their ■ chance. The , Defence authorities have 'received ad- " vice from the Imperial Government that recruits are required: for servico. in motor auxiliary patrol vessels. Selected men. will become members : of ,the Reserve, and they must he between 21 and 35 of age. \ . Applicants' who are not prpics&onal sailors will be required to have a lfnowr ■ ledge of the sea and of the handling' of small craft as amateur yachtsmeri. Any man who-is desirous of "entering the service, should : enter his name at the district headquarters of the Defence Department at Ancklaud, Wel- ■ lington, Christohurch, or Dunedin, and furnish full particulars of his qualifi- . cations, which should be certified to by some responsible person. Representatives of the British Admiralty will arrive in New;* Zealand ■shortly for the purpose of interviewing applicants and selecting suitable men. Particulars as to pay, allowances, eto., will then be furnished.- Recruits, it is understood/ will he required to begin their new duties promptly.
